A day devoted to a special kind of donut. What could be better? We explain it all in our post, Fastnacht is coming!  We’ve included a list of all the local bakeries that bake this wonderful pastry for Shrove Tuesday. Check out our Fastnacht: Plan of Action post for a map of all the bakeries and a suggested route. Last year my friend Sally and I made the rounds and ate a lot of donuts. Yum.

Valentine’s Day Strawberry-Champagne Cidre Dur

Valentine's Day - Bucks County Brewery

Valentine’s Day is a day we celebrate our love and lives together (or treat ourselves with a little self care for “singles appreciation day”).  Bucks County Brewery has created a special brew that would be perfect for the day: Strawberry Champagne Cidre Dur. They start with their Chardonnay barrel aged dry cider and infused it with strawberry and champagne to create one unique drink.

It’s available in their testing room in pints and growlers, pick some up for Valentine’s Day before it’s all gone!

JUST ADDED!

And now for something a little different…

Join us on Sunday, March 4 for

A Salon at Liberty Hall Pizza

Liberty Hall Pizza Collage

What is a “salon”?
A place where people discuss interesting topics of the day and enjoy each other’s company.

My father taught history and social studies to high school students for over 35 years. I was raised at a dinner table that was full of lively discussion, learning and laughter.

To this day, I love listening to intelligent people who bring me new perspectives and knowledge. And giving my two cents too, of course.

Some say that true dialogue is non-existent in America today. That may be. But we’re going to try something a little different for our next Bucks County Taste Dinner Club.

Delicious food, interesting people and fun discussion. Interested? Click here to see the topics we’ve chosen and the full menu.
