In case you missed it: Bucks County is hosting its first-ever restaurant week, and it runs all week-long until Sunday, May 5. All this coming week, enjoy prix fixe menus at a special rate of $25 or $35. There’s such a long list of restaurants participating, so this is a great chance to try out that local spot you’ve been eyeing up. Here’s a full list of restaurants.

Myerov Farm, a family farm and market, showcases a variety of ethnic and unique vegetables from around the world. They offer opportunities for hands on learning, community events such as macrobiotic cooking classes, bread baking, farm to table dining, comedy improv and more. Work shares and discounts are available with volunteer commitments, contact the farm owner at 215.421.9413. Find the sign up form here.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced gardener, you can always learn more. Expand your knowledge with the Bucks County Foodshed Alliance‘s as they present “A Farmer’s Expertise for Home Gardeners: Your Questions Answered.” The local event features Malaika Spencer, the owner and farmer of Roots to River Farm in Solebury, New Hope. Malaika is dedicated to growing good food and building healthy ecosystems, and she has been working on farms for over 10 years. Join her this Wednesday, May 2, 7 pm at the Bensalem Library. Taste of New Hope

The First Annual Taste of New Hope (May 2) is an event for wine lovers and locavores! Numerous local restaurants are coming together to offer sample-sized portions of some of their best dishes and drinks. There’s also live entertainment, delicious food, beer and wine — all at the New Hope Winery. Tickets are $35 and you can buy them here.
