5th Annual Bucks Bacon & Beer 2018

BBB 2018 pint glassYes, there will be bacon and there will be beer but this year — our 5th year — there will be a lot more. A Blooming Glen Pork pig roast (can you smell it?), over 20 local food purveyors, farmers, distillers, brewers, chocolatiers and great music. And for the first time, t-shirts! Sure to be a collector’s item.

Admission to the event includes 2 pints of Triumph Beer, a commemorative glass, and all the delicious locally produced food you can eat.

When: Sunday, April 22 ∼ 12 – 4 pm

Finally, spreadable bacon! At its core Bacon Jam is gourmet bacon, brown sugar, and onions, available in three varieties.

2The Bent Spoon

The Bent Spoon Since 2004, this popular Princeton ice creamery has been making small batch ice cream and sorbets using local and organic ingredients. They call it “farm to spoon”!

3Bespoke Bacon

Bespoke Bacon One of the favorites every year. Bespoke Bacon, based in Telford, naturally cures and flavors their bacon using local ingredients, creating over a dozen flavors — Buffalo Style, Honey Apple, Jamaican-Jerk, Cherry Bomb, and Maple Syrup and Muscovado Sugar, to name a few.

 

4Clusters Handcrafted Popcorn

Clusters Handcrafted Popcorn Gourmet popcorn made fresh daily in New Hope in over two dozen mouth-watering flavors like Caramel Corn, Peanut Butter Blast, Cookie Explosion, and White Cheddar…and Caramel Bacon with chocolate drizzle!

5The Cook & His Books

The Cook & His Books Chef Michael Kanter brings his many years of professional culinary and restaurant experience teaching entertaining and informational cooking classes using fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients. His classes include topics like how to make fresh pasta, sushi, wine pairings and even, sex and food. Who knows what he’ll do with bacon? 

6Dad’s Hat Rye Whiskey

Dad’s Hat Rye Whiskey Award-winning rye whiskey made in Bucks County with locally sourced ingredients (“farm to bottle”). Dad’s Hat has become one of the biggest micro distillery success stories in the country. Herman Mihalich, master distiller, will be there making a special cocktail for you to sample.

7The Farm Cooking School

The Farm Cooking School Think fine dining, locally sourced, fresh ingredients, and a diverse and exciting culinary curriculum all rolled into one. Chefs Ian Knauer and Shelley Wiseman have created in the Farm Cooking School a place where cooks of all levels can come together to learn about and enjoy great food.

8Flint Hill Farm

Flint Hill Farm Both a working farm and educational center in Coopersburg, PA, Flint Hill Farm produces artisanal goat and cow cheeses, yogurt, smoothies and fresh cream butter. They’ll bring all of their incredible, flavored goat cheeses for you to taste.

9Folk City Roasters

Folk City Roasters Craft roasted coffee from Point Pleasant, Bucks County, just up the river.

10Fulper Family Farmstead

Fulper Family Farmstead brings handmade cheeses from their 5th generation dairy farm just outside Lambertville. Fresh ricotta, mozzarella and aged cheddar.

11Gerome’s Sausages

Gerome’s Sausages, tucked away in a small strip shopping center in Levittown, is one of Bucks County’s gems. Over two dozen sausage flavors, made in-house with natural casing.

12Great Barn Brewery

Great Barn Brewery grows and sources locally all the ingredients for their beer, including hops, spices, fruits, honey at their farm in Kintersville.

13Haring Brothers

Haring Brothers is one of the last “old school” butchers left in Bucks County. They carry a wide variety of quality meats including fresh beef, veal, lamb, poultry, fowl, and seafood. The meat is freshly cut and cut to order for the customer. Where can you find that anymore?

14New Hope House of Jerky

The New Hope House of Jerky is family owned and operated. They sell all natural quality jerky in a variety of flavors and meats. Maybe they’ll bring their Maple Brown Sugar Peppered bacon jerky…

17Pierre’s Chocolates


Pierre’s Chocolates from New Hope will bring their artisanal, handcrafted chocolates filled with local bacon, beer and whiskey.

18Sciascia Confections

Sciascia Confections is coming this year! Tom has had to miss the last few Bucks Bacon and Beer events, but he’s back and bringing his incredible, artisanal confections made with local ingredients.

19Stone & Key Cellars


Stone & Key Cellars from Montgomeryville will be at Bucks Bacon & Beer for the first time this year. They will be bringing their hard cider (ranging from sweet to dry) made with local apples from Solebury Orchards.

20Two Sisters Canning

Two Sisters Canning will bring their homemade, all natural, locally sourced jams and jellies including their beer jellies!
