If you are a wine enthusiast or if you just love a nice glass of it with your favorite meal, you are in luck this week. There’s a few Bucks County wine dinners to choose from, and several other events for all of our adventurous foodies out there.
Free dinner. Ham and macaroni and cheese is on the menu today. This Monday, June 19, enjoy a free dinner at the Presbyterian Church of Deep Run in Perkasie. The church is opening its doors to the community for a free dinner of meatloaf, green beans, mashed potatoes, and gravy, with homemade treats for dessert. The meal is served in Hoopes Hall from 5:30 – 6:30 pm. Visit their website for questions or more information.
Can’t make it to this free dinner? On Wednesday, June 22 from 12 – 2 pm there will be a community lunch at the Centenary United Methodist Church, on North Union Street, in Lambertville, NJ. It’s a free lunch that is open to all. There will be great food using some organic ingredients. Come meet your neighbors!
Wine Dinner. This is not an ordinary wine dinner. On Tuesday, June 21, the Milford Oyster House in Hunterdon County will welcome native Ann Singley Wofford as she joins her longtime friends Chef Ed Coss and his sister, Amy Coss, co-owners of the MOH in Milford, NJ. Wofford moved to California as a young adult and is currently the estate manager of her family winery, Wofford Acres Vineyard. She will present her family’s wines paired with Chef Ed’s five course meal.
Tickets are limited so be sure to call today and make a reservation. The dinner is $80 per person and includes the dinner and wine. Call 908.995.9411. (We know this isn’t Bucks County but it is a great dinner filled with seafood!).

Paired with: 2011 Estate El Dorado Cabernet Sauvignon - Port-Macerated Berries with Ice Cream in a Cookie Cup

Taco Tuesday. Taco Tuesday is probably the best day of the week. Join Comfortfood and Kitchenette for some comfort food (tacos!) and a movie. Tacos are served family style with chips, homemade salsas, and pickled veggies. There are endless tacos and a great flick, chef’s choice. A Taste of the Rhone Valley. The Yardley Inn is hosting a five course dinner paired with wines from Chateau St. Cosme, a producer spanning many regions in the Rhone Valley. The dinner is this Wednesday, June 22 beginning at 7 pm. Reservations are required, and the dinner is $75 per person. Here is the menu:

Paris in the Village: A French Wine and Food Fest. This three-day event at Peddler’s Village features wines, cuisine and the culture of France begins this Thursday, June 23. Reserve your seat at a series of dining events because “Paris in the Village” is a great experience for all you French foodies.
There will be a French wine dinner at Earl’s New American on Thursday, June 23 beginning at 6 pm. The dinner is $75 per person inclusive. Reservations are required so call 215.794.4020. The full menu can be found here.
