That was a gorgeous weekend, and it’s only going to get better! Finally, a few days with endless sun and summer breezes. And we’re not just talking about the weather.
There’s a lot happening this week in Bucks County, especially if you like sweets and spirits. Pick up some cinnamon buns, swing by a carnival, or check out a new summer menu.
New summer menu. The season’s changing, and so are the menus at Bowman’s Tavern. Their summer menu offers plenty of options with seasonal and fresh ingredients. Sample dishes like crispy pork belly, house roasted porchetta, crab cake sandwiches, all served with summer vegetables and more.
If you love Bowman’s Tavern, you’ll probably love Bowman’s North of Riegelsville, too. Come enjoy a unique day on Monday, July 3, as the Bucks County Taste Dinner Club community experiences “both” Bowman’s in one fun mini summer road trip. Only 7 spots left! Come spend a fun afternoon with friends, old and new. More details here.
Milkshake Mondays. Hot days are here, and that means ice cream. Uncle Dave’s Homemade Ice Cream down at Shady Brook Farm and DelVal Creamery will feature different specials from Monday through Thursday throughout the summer. Cool off with a sweet treat all week-long! Also, Mondays are $4 milkshakes from noon to 6 pm. This special will end on August 14.
Cinnamon bun bake sale. Picture this: a warm, gooey cinnamon bun next to a piping hot cup of coffee (or tea). This could be your breakfast if you stop by the Central Bucks Senior Center to pick up some of their fresh-baked cinnamon buns, handmade by the members of the center.
You can enjoy the buns plain, with raisins or nuts, or both. Learn more about the sale here or call the center for more information. Save some for the weekend, or eat them all as soon as you get home!
Perkasie Fire Company Carnival. The Carnival has come to town in Perkasie, beginning June 27 and ending on July 1. Come join in the family fun with rides, games, and everyone’s favorite, carnival food. Who doesn’t have fond memories of bumper cars and funnel cake? All proceeds benefit the fire company, and the venue is at Lake Lenape Park in Perkasie.
Call up the Spirits. Grab some friends and get ready for some “spirited” fun. This Tuesday, June 27, the Logan Inn in New Hope is welcoming back the author and spiritual medium, Edward Tabbitas, for another round of dinners and spirit readings.
The evening includes a three-course dinner followed by a group reading for $80 per person. The price includes a welcome cocktail, hors d’oeuvres, three-course dinner, and a group reading with Tabbitas (and free parking!). Price does not include alcohol, tax and gratuity. Stay packages are available too. The dinners run the last Tuesday of each month through September 26, and October 24 – 31.

Monday, July 3, 1 – 5 pm
If you’re around July 4th weekend, come join us for great food, good people and beautiful Delaware River Valley scenery.

Then we’ll enjoy a beautiful ride up the river in a comfy shuttle bus. We’ll also have complimentary wine, craft beer and a special cocktail for the trip.
When we arrive at Bowman’s North in Riegelsville, it’s time for a good old-fashioned All American Feast on the patio.
After all this, we’ll bring you back to Bowman’s Tavern by 5:00 pm.
