Now that we are all embracing the fall weather, it’s time to welcome the abundance of seasonal produce. Apples are already ripe and being picked at local orchards, and there are plenty more on the way.

Bechdolt’s Orchard, 2209 Leithsville Road, Hellertown, PA, 610.838.8522. The orchard is now picking Cortland, Jonagold, and more.
Bedminster Orchard, 1024 Kellers Church Rd, Perkasie, PA, 215.795.0303. Apple varieties available this week include Autumn Crisp, Crimson Crisp, Crimson gold and Jonamac. Many more varieties to come! Check their Facebook page for the latest.
Bedminster also has their own fresh-pressed, unpasteurized raw apple cider with no preservatives and no sugar added. The orchard currently sells at three farmers markets: Doylestown Farmers Market on Saturday mornings, Lower Makefield on Thursday afternoons and the Doylestown Hospital Market on Wednesday afternoons. Call them for pickup at the farm for half bushel and bushel boxes of apples. They will also provide applesauce blends in bushels and half bushel.

Penn Vermont Fruit Farm, 831 Rolling Hills Road, Bedminster, PA, 215.795.2475. New fall hours are Monday through Saturday, 8 am – 6 pm, and Sunday 9 am – 6 pm. The farm is now picking Cortland, and other apple varieties.
Shady Brook Farm, 931 Stony Hill Road, Morrisville, PA, 215.968.1670. Apples available, now picking Honey Crisp, Gala, Crimson Crisp, Cortland, and Daybreak Fuji Apples. Pick your own on weekends, plus hayrides.
