Restaurants

1821 Steaks & Cocktails (Upper Black Eddy)

Don’t miss the Strube Ranch 16 oz Ribeye and the slow roasted tomatoes. Or just hanging out at the bar.

The Black Bass Hotel (Lumberville)

Sitting by the window gazing at the Delaware River wandering by, or having a drink in the tavern.

Bowman’s Tavern (New Hope)

The cheesesteak – really! (Even from a Philly gal) And don’t miss the weinerschnitzel.

Blue Sage Grille (Bensalem)

Blue Sage is excellent! Vegetarian & vegan meals are offered.

The Mediterranean Sampler and Quesa Rustica are tasty!

Concerto Fusion (Morrisville)

A “don’t miss” food experience in Bucks County Pennsylvania you ask? Get to Concerto Fusion in Morrisville! The atmosphere is like something out of Manhattan and the sushi is fantastic!

Down to Earth Café (Perkasie)

Great espresso drinks, amazingly fresh foods and they support our local agriculture! Best veggie burger I’ve ever had….and I get a different breakfast every time and haven’t been disappointed yet!

My kids LOVE the Cocoa Bear – nutella and strawberries on a warm croissant – what’s not to love?!

Down to Earth Café in Perkasie has provided our family with a healthy, inexpensive option for takeout and for a casual lunch/breakfast out. We love their menu!..some of our favorites: the Yountville, breakfast burrito supreme, the Port Leo and the veggie burger! Their coffees and smoothies are great too! We have been especially impressed by how the cafe has evolved since first opening. They have made great strides in providing as much local, organic ingredients as possible. Their business appears to only be getting stronger.. We love that they are growing some of their own food now too!

Honey (Doylestown)

They have such a creative style of cooking. Their ability to combine ingredients that you don’t think would ever taste good together actually make you want to dance in you chair. Their menu is always changing with the seasons but to this day my favorite is the Rock Shrimp Martini.

Perfect for a special occasion or just when you are craving something different. Yum!

Luberto’s (Dublin and Pipersville)

We love going to Luberto’s in Dublin for a great meal. Both my husband and I fight over who is going to order the Cubana Sauce with penne.

Waiting for our dinner at Luberto’s in Dublin, where the guys at the pizza oven give our kids some pizza dough to play with. Then enjoying the oven fired pizza and delicious Italian specialties. With a bottle of our BYO wine, it is our favorite family meal in the area!

Marsha Brown (New Hope)

Carrot cake at Marsha Brown’s served with church coffee. Best dessert ever!

Pineville Tavern (Pineville)

Buffalo Chicken Eggrolls…anywhere, but sit in the tavern section of the restaurant and enjoy the camaraderie. Also the linguine with clams (red sauce) and, of course, the homemade ravioli. And the rice pudding…

Porterhouse (Lahaska)

The Black & Blue burger at Porterhouse is delicious! Steaks and the Bay Breezes aren’t bad either…you must go!

Don’t miss The Porterhouse Restaurant’s burgers and chili and their delicious beer!

Sprig & Vine (New Hope)

 Great vegetarian and vegan gourmet

Bars

See our previous posts, Bars We Like – Part 1 and Bars We Like – Part 2.

Anton’s at The Swan  (Lambertville)

The Boathouse (Lambertville)

Sitting outside on a beautiful evening, having a drink while waiting for your table at Hamilton’s Grill Room. Or for a nightcap.

The Centre Bridge Inn (Center Bridge/New Hope)

Don’t miss Barbara Trent belting out the best from the Great American Songbook and Kitty serving up drinks and quips at the bar.

Markets

Pasqualina’s Italian Market (Blooming Glen)

Great little shop with a nice selection of cheeses, great sandwiches, and very nice owners!

Tanner Brother’s Dairy Farm and Ice Cream (Richboro)

I think I just may head to Tanners today – Butter Pecan…..yum!!

Milk House Farm Market (Newtown)

Milk House Farm Market, especially in late summer — an astonishing display of (over 42) varieties of gorgeous and tasty tomatoes, in every color, shape, and size imaginable!

Tabora Farm and Orchard (Chalfont)

Pick up some sandwiches from their deli, some fresh baked goods and a bottle of their own wine and you’ve got yourself a picnic!

Their apple cider donuts are so good, and the location is great – near Lake Galena

I love escaping my home office to have an amazing sandwich and a treat from their excellent bakery on the patio next to the orchard at Tabora’s. And they keep coffee going until they close at 7 p.m.!

They have the best oatmeal cookies!

The Market at Delaware Valley by Shady Brook Farm (Doylestown)

Delicious fresh local produce and the best homemade guacamole!

I think learning about the fascinating history of Delaware Valley College (founded by Rabbi Joseph Krauskopf after his meeting with Tolstoy) with a tour of his library, the unique farm/arboretum that’s a campus, followed by a stop in the Market, would be an interesting addition to any agricultural food tour…

Stockton Farmer’s Market (Stockton, New Jersey)

The Stockton Indoor Farmers Market should not be missed – you will absolutely LOVE it! I drive 40 minutes each way and it is so worth it! Fabulous vendors, from wine to honey, from baskets to vegetables, tamales to fresh fish, killer BBQ to Macarons (killer also), from organic Tomahawk steaks to rare mushrooms, from pickles to ice cream, coffee to tea, prepared meals to olive oil and more too! Organic is the word here. I love the  real Belgium Waffles with toppings of your choice, and did I mentioned chocolate? Although there are only a few vendors open on Fridays……the best Fish & Chips are worth the trip!

Bakeries, Ice Cream and lots of other good stuff

Cramer’s Bakery (Yardley)

Town Crier Bakery (Lahaska)

Sticky buns, made fresh every day!

Yum Yum Bake Shop (Quakertown, Warminster, Colmar)

Glazed donuts at Yum Yum Bake Shop are great!

The best sticky buns around!

Soft ice cream and a good burger make the world better!

OWowCow (Wrightstown and Ottsville)

oWowCow  uses only locally produced ingredients from farms in Upper Bucks County- one of the best places for ice cream in Bucks!

Creamiest ice cream with inventive and rotating flavors the keep you coming back! It’s addicting!
