The Lucky Cupcake Company, a new bakery in Plumsteadville, is finally fulled baked, you could say. We peered in the windows a couple of months ago after breakfast at Groveland’s Grill only to be disappointed. Jesse Berdinka at Chubby’s Dairy Barn had told me about the bakery right around the corner from his ice cream store. Well, we’ll have to check out the new place since this weekend, May 22nd & May 23rd is their Grand Opening, from 10 am – 3 pm. And they’re giving out FREE cupcakes (limit one per customer). They also make custom cakes, cookies and tarts, in case for some reason you don’t like cupcakes (???).

We ordered carrot cupcakes with cream cheese filling for my son’s 1st birthday. Joanne was extremely helpful in choosing the decorations and type of cupcake that would be best for our son and family. They were so good there was a dispute over the last one. I highly recommend this friendly establishment. I also had a chocolate cupcake with chocolate mousse filling, chocolate ganache on top with chocolate icing and a peanut butter treat on top that was fantastic!
Joanne has produced some of the most amazing desserts for my family and friends. She recently baked desserts for my husband’s 50th bday. We had a golf theme and she made the most delicious miniture golf cupcakes. Her unique desserts were the talk of the party and everyone asked for her number. The individual pastries were so amazing, some guests asked if they were real!
I can’t imagine what she would create for a wedding and/or birthday cake?
