OMG. It’s here. The Pa LCB’s answer to selling wine in a supermarket. “PRONTO” is anything but. You can see it at Wegmans in Warrington, right across from the Cheese Department. You’ll need your driver’s license and be prepared to “breathe” into a breathalyzer. No joke. All this for a selection of pretty mediocre wines. Here’s more info about the pilot program.

There’s another kiosk up front that sells diamond necklaces and fancy pens. It’s next to the DVD vending machine and the woman whose job it is to convince people to buy diamonds out of a vending machine. Bizarre.
