Lowenbrau beer_HGR OktoberfestGosh I love this time of year. The trees are beautiful, the air is crisp and the calendar is packed with delicious events. Where to start?

Tonight and tomorrow night, Hamilton’s Grill Room is hosting their first Oktoberfest. The menu features authentic German fare like beer braised sausages with onions apples and sauerkraut, Kassler Ripchen with sauerkraut (Smoked baby rib chops of pork), and fresh herb spaetzle with Gruyere cheese. The three-course meal is only $29.95 per person. If you want to go, call 609.397.4343 right away or use OpenTable here.

Caleb’s American Kitchen continues their seasonal dinner series, Friend of a Farmer this Thursday, October 23 and Friday, October 24. This month the theme is squash, pumpkin and cauliflower. Among the offerings on the four-course menu: Risotto with pumpkin, bacon and Parmesan cheese; Autumn Fennel-Roasted Apple Salad,  Coffee Rubbed Pork Tenderloin, Butternut Squash and Sweet Potato Ratatouille, and Pumpkin-Praline Pie. There are at least two choices for each course (see the full menu here) and much of the menu is locally sourced. The dinner is $40 pp on Thursday and $45 pp on Friday evening. See their website to reserve your seat.

Indoor block party!  Locals Tailgate “New Hope Style” is happening at the New Hope Eagle Fire Company on Friday evening from 7 – 9 pm. On the menu: a pig roast, beef, beer, BBQ and wine.
