1. 27th Annual Tyler Tasting Party

Friday, June 5 from 6 pm to 10 pm at Bucks County Community College, Tyler Mansion, 275 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA

The Tyler Tasting Party is an annual event hosted by Bucks County Community College that draws a crowd of more than 400 people each year to historic Tyler Hall. The party features food, wine and spirits from over 30 of the region’s finest restaurants, wineries, breweries, caterers and bakeries, plus a DJ and dancing.Proceeds benefit students enrolled in Bucks’ Historic Preservation Program, and the preservation and restoration of one of Bucks County’s most beautiful buildings. 2. Garces Foundation Summer Barbecue

Sunday, June 7  from 1 pm to 4 pm at Luna Farm in Ottsville, PA

Chef Jose Garces is opening the gates to his family farm, Luna Farm, for a summer barbecue to benefit his foundation, the Garces Foundation, and non-profit that provides Philadelphia’s underserved immigrant community with access to health and educational services. Food will be provided by Garces Catering, Fat Jack’s BBQ, owwowcow creamery, Rosati Water Ice and other area restaurateurs. The day includes live music, tours of Luna Farm and guided hikes around the 40 acres property, a vodka infusion workshop courtesy of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, herb seed plantings, a moon bounce and games for kids, and a book signing with Chef Garces for his cook books The Latin Road Home and Latin Evolution. Fun!

3. Lobsterfest

Saturday, June 6 from 4 pm to 9 pm at Trinity Episcopal Church, 6587 Upper York Road, Solebury, PA

Lobsterfest is an annual event (this year is the 20th anniversary) that benefits the Trinity Youth Group’s Mission Philadelphia projects. This year they’ll have lobster or smoked organic ribs from More than Q, corn on the cob, cole slaw, plus a whole bunch of carnival food like hamburgers and hotdogs. The Nina’s Waffles food truck will be there to provide a sweet ending to your meal. Besides eating, there are crafts, games, pony rides, face painting, silent auction and live music. It’s too late to place a mail-in order but you can still buy tickets online! BYOB!
