1. Bristol Borough’s First Friday Celebration
5 pm to 8 pm on Friday, July 3 at Bristol Borough, Mill & Radcliffe Streets, Bristol, PA
A lot of towns do First Fridays now, but Bristol’s is special. The historic riverfront town will be celebrating the first Friday of July, just in time for Independence Day weekend with hula hoopists, live music, a beer garden at the King George II Inn, plus fun for the family, including face painting, a caricaturist, and a balloon artist. And of course, there will be food: two food trucks (Taco Rapidos and Billy D’s Barb-B-Que) plus Payne Catering’s “famous” corn on the cob stand.
3. Independence Day Picnic at the Rising Sun Inn
Saturday, July 4 from 11 am to 5 pm at Rising Sun Inn, 898 Allentown Road, Telford, PA
$1 draft beer, $2 buffalo hot dogs, $3 buffalo burgers, plus a Quoits tournament, live music, oysters on the half shell from 3-5 pm, and a chili cook-off from 2-4 pm. Eat up!
4. Quakertown Community Day
Saturday, July 4 from 8 am to pm at Memorial Park, Mill Street, Quakertown, PA
The annual community party coincides with the fourth of July and is really the quintessential All-American celebration: a pancake breakfast, car show, parade, baseball, live music and fireworks are all on the docket!
Have a great weekend!
