There is so much to do on the weekends in Bucks County that we’ve decided that the top events deserve their own post. If you’re reading this and wondering where Friday, Saturday, and Sunday went, they’re getting the V.I.D. (Very Important Day) treatment tomorrow (Thursday, May 7)!
Thursday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday still get their time in the spotlight, though. The weekdays have just as much fun lined up, including a new hamburger every day, some unique cooking classes, a Venetian dinner, and authentic Pierogies fresh to order.
Every day: We forgot to tell you that it’s National Hamburger Month. Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant is celebrating with 31 Daily Hamburgers, so any day this month, go in for the burger of the day. See their website for the burger line-up.
Thursday, May 7: Learn how to make Japanese Soba Rolls, courtesy of the Community School of New Hope-Solebury, at 6:30 pm at the New Hope Solebury High School.
Monday, May 11: Brian’s Restaurant in Lambertville continues their monthly dinner series with Exploration of World Cuisine: Venice during dinner hours (5:30 – 9 pm).
Tuesday, May 12: Learn how to prepare seafood at The Art of Cooking Fish at Carlow Cookery in Doylestown at 7 pm.
Wednesday, May 13: Get your potato fix with Pierogy Wednesdays at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church. Pierogies are made fresh to order, sold by the dozen. Call between 9 am and noon to order and pick up your pierogies between 12:30 and 3 pm.

Here’s what you’ll find at area farmers’ markets: tender greens, herbs, scallions, radishes, ramps, garlic, onions, carrots, fennel, leeks, sweet pea shoots, asparagus, rhubarb, mushrooms and white & sweet potatoes.
Most markets will also have eggs from free-range chickens, grass-fed and pastured meats, preserves, specialty foods, baked goods like breads, cakes, cookies and pastries, cheese and yogurt, cider and juice, sauces locally roasted coffee, and interesting crafts from local artisans.
