The holiday season is coming to an end and it’s hard to believe that 2016 is right around the corner. Whether you are dining out—or in—for your New Year’s Eve celebration, here are some great ideas.
If you still haven’t found the perfect place to go out for New Year’s Eve, here’s a few more to check out. Make sure to call for reservations, there’s only a few days left until the celebrations begin.
- Mojito Cuba Caribe Restaurant in New Hope is putting on a Cuban Fiesta on New Year’s Eve with live music by Lorenzo, dancing and great specials in addition to their regular menu. - Genevieve’s Kitchen in Doylestown will offer a $59 pp prix fixe dinner (plus tax & gratuity) with three seating times. Call 267.614.9635 to reserve.
- Sheraton Bucks County Hotel in Langhorne is having a tribute to the King (aka Elvis) from 8 pm – 1 am. Admission is $159 per person, and includes light hor d’oeuvres, buffet dinner, four hour open bar, champagne toast at midnight, balloon drop and breakfast-to-go. Call 215.269.3408 to reserve.
- Spring Mill Manor in Ivyland will be having their New Year’s Eve party from 8 pm to 1 am, complete with champagne and fireworks. Tickets include dancing, full dinner and a champagne toast at midnight. Call 215.675.6000 for reservations.
- Crowne Plaza Philadelphia Bucks County Hotel, in Trevose has New Year’s Eve packages available. There’s toasting with champagne, dinner, dessert, and more for groups of two, three or more. For more information, call 267.684.1153.

Looking for a quiet week so you have plenty of energy for the New Year’s Eve celebrations? Here are some local places to try so you don’t have to cook!
- Sakura, Bensalem: Offers a variety of Japanese entrees inspired by traditional Japanese flavors. All of Sakura sauces and dressings are prepared with natural ingredients, and their meals too. Sakura is also BYOB.

- Blue Sage Grille, Southampton: Vegetarian, vegan and even carnivores come to this Bucks County restaurant for modern, unusual vegetarian fare and desserts. Open during the week from Tuesday to Friday, and also BYOB. Read more about Blue Sage here.
- Hattery Stove & Sill, Doylestown: Swing by during the week for happy hour and gourmet appetizers. They are also open late for a nice drink.
Not going out for New Year’s Eve? Whether you’re staying in or just hanging out at a friend’s house, here are some easy desserts. Try homemade fudge with items from a local market.
