Despite the nasty weekend weather we had, spring IS here. And that means the Bucks County Food Calendar is filling up fast with lots of great foodie events. Check out what’s happening in Bucks County this week, like the annual Taste of Doylestown event, a tasty game dinner with wine, and beer from a well-known brewery.

Burger night. In need of a burger, and fast? No need to do the drive-through at McDonald’s, instead, check out Burger Night at McCoole’s Red Lion Inn, where the burgers are $6.99 on Tuesdays. The inn offers burgers for that price all day, and you can try any of their flame grilled offerings like GMO-free Angus beef, hormone-free grilled chicken breast and roasted portabella mushroom.

Pizza, Liberty Hall Pizza

Pizza with flair. Executive Chef Hunter Stagg of Hotel du Village in New Hope is the next “Guest Pizzaiolo” in Liberty Hall Pizza’s series where guest chefs take over the Lambertville pizzeria’s wood-fired brick oven for a night to create their own pizzas.

On Tuesday, April 12 diners can try out two pizzas by Stagg: “Honey’s Pie” topped with San Marzano Tomatoes, Fennel Salami, Nduja (Calabrian-style spicy, spreadable pork sausage), and Fresh Mozzarella; and “Hotel du Village” made with San Marzano Tomatoes, Wild Boar, Smoked Red Onion, Foraged Morels and Pecorino Sardo.
