January Tidbits: New beginnings and fresh, new food

Look who’s new in town! Welcome a new bakery, a bustling market, farm-to-table restaurants and more in Bucks County.

2New Hope’s Ferry Market: local and yummy

Bonjour Creperie
Bonjour Creperie’s Jean Pierre created these “S’mores” crepes at the Ferry Market. Bonjour Creperie’s is one of the many vendors of the market.

For the Ferry Market on South Main St. in New Hope, 2018 is a new year, a new Bucks County business celebration. If you haven’t heard of this unique collection of culinary delights, you’ll have to stop in and check out the delicious food vendors, many of whom are local. You can even be a part of the Ferry Market as a guest (AKA a pop-up food vendor).

You’ll find a lot of familiar faces at the market. Many local restaurants and eateries have opened satellite locations there, like Blue Moon Acres Farm, Greenstraw Smoothies (Newtown), Sciascia Confections (Stockton, NJ), Bonjour Creperie (Buckingham), Lima Fusion (El Tule/Quinoa), Moose on the Loose (Cafe Blue Moose), Unionville Vineyards (Ringoes, NJ), Cross Culture Indian, The Pork Shack, and more.

If you have yet to see this local hotspot, stop by on Wednesday, January 24 from 5 – 8 pm for vendor samplings and live music from the Zeke Sky Band. The market is open Wednesdays through Sundays, 7 am to 7 pm (check individual vendor hours on their website).
