Bucks Food Calendar: Oct 9, 2017

Caleb's American Kitchen
Mother Nature has been all over the place this year. And a strange October it has been; with the rain and the heat and then the occasional chilly night, it’s hard to get into fall mode. Or at least, it’s hard to plan what to wear (I just want to strap on my warm boots and break out the cozy sweaters!).
However, it’s not hard to plan what to eat this week, with the usual locals nights happening around Bucks County, along with a few other events like a farm to table dinner, an Avery beer dinner, and a food-focused book discussion. Keep reading for more events!

The Hidden Half of Nature

Food for Thought Book Club

Good health for people and plants depends on Earth’s smallest creatures. The Hidden Half of Nature tells the story of our relationship with microbes and their potential to revolutionize agriculture and medicine, from garden to gut. And you can talk about this with friends and community members at the Doylestown Book Store this Tuesday at 6:15 pm. If you’ve never been to one of the Food for Thought Book Clubs, you can check it out this week, and discuss The Hidden Half of Nature. More information is here.

Avery Beer

Avery Beer Dinner

Come enjoy a well-planned beer dinner at The Yardley Inn this Wednesday. For $65 plus tax and gratuity, you can indulge in a six course meal, with each dish paired nicely with an Avery brew.
