Bucks Food Calendar: Oct 23, 2017

Yes, Halloween is officially next week, but I think we can all agree that the “season” has begun. But before you get out your Wonder Woman costume, enjoy what’s happening this week in Bucks County, like a wine dinner in honor of California, local cinnamon bun sale, the annual Tastings of the Indian Valley event and dinner with the Spirits at the Logan Inn.

Cinnamon Bun Bake Sale

Cinnamon Bun Bake Sale

Sweet, sticky, a bit nutty. These are the cinnamon buns you want to eat hot out of the oven with a steaming cup of morning coffee.

This could be your breakfast if you stop by the Central Bucks Senior Center to buy some of their fresh-baked cinnamon buns, handmade daily by the members of the center. You can pick them up all this week beginning on Tuesday, October 24.

Enjoy the buns plain, with raisins or nuts, or both. Learn more about the sale here or call the center for more information. Save some for the weekend, or eat them all as soon as you get home!

Tastings of the Indian Valley

Indian Valley Tastings

Tastings is the Indian Valley Country Club’s annual culinary event highlighting select local restaurants, breweries and wineries and showcasing their favorite dishes. Chef Fred Duerr from the Rising Sun Inn presents the event, held at the Franconia Heritage. Tickets cost $30 each or $40 at the door. A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Indian Valley Education Foundation.

Dinner, Dessert, and a Message From Beyond
