Bucks Food Calendar: March 29, 2013

The calendar is a little quiet this holiday week, so my post will be short. Rich Baringer, our guest blogger, has two posts about Easter food traditions – including the candy ones! – for you to enjoy. Have a very happy Easter.

If you’ve never gone, consider stopping by the United German Hungarian Club in Bensalem. Every first Wednesday of the month they host Schnitzel Night, a dinner including two side dishes plus a salad, bread and butter, and coffee or tea is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children. Dessert and drinks are available for purchase. If you are interested in attending this Wednesday evening (5:30 – 7:30 pm), contact Kathi Galgon at 215.542.0868 for reservations or information.

Two Restaurant Weeks are approaching! The Flemington Business Improvement District (BID) is hosting a week of eating in Flemington, NJ beginning Sunday, April 7 and continuing through Saturday, April 13. During the week, food establishments will donate a percentage of their proceeds to the Flemington BID Scholarship Fund. The scholarship is to be awarded to two Hunterdon Central graduating seniors, one male and one female, who have identified their college course of study to be a business, or business related major. Doylestown will be celebrating their first Restaurant Week in April too. Dine Doylestown will take place from Sunday, April 14 through Saturday, April 20. Almost 30 restaurants are participating with prix fixe lunches and dinners. If you’ve got a favorite restaurant in Doylestown, it’s almost guaranteed to be on the list!
