2012 – Going out for the holidays in Bucks

Ta-daaa! You asked for it…or rather you searched for it. I may not be Santa (not by a long shot) but I can see what folks are searching for on Google that brings them to Bucks County Taste. Apparently, not only do you want to know where to go out for Thanksgiving, but also for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.

This list won’t be as long as the Thanksgiving post. Not as many restaurants are open on these days. Once again, if I’ve missed any, please let me know and I’ll add them to the list.

Christmas Eve

Here are restaurants offering Christmas eve dinners, in alphabetical order, with details:

• The Brick Hotel (Newtown) Dinner from 5:30 to 10:00 pm. See their menu here and call them at 215.860.8613 to reserve.
• Brick Tavern (Quakertown) will be serving from 11am  to 6pm. Call 529.6488 for reservations.
• The Buck Hotel (Feasterville) is offering a special dinner menu on both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. You can reach them at 215.396.2002 for reservations. See their website for menu details.
• Bucks Bounty (Erwinna) will be serving dinner from 5 pm to 9:30 pm on Christmas Eve. Contact them at 610.294.8106.
• Cafe Europa (New Hope) will be serving the Feast of the Seven Fishes beginning at 5 pm on December 22, 23, and 24. Contact them at 215.862.9600.
• Cascade Lodge (Kintersville) will be seating from 5 pm to 7 pm. Contact them at  610.346.7484.
• The Centre Bridge Inn (Centre Bridge/New Hope) will be open for Christmas Eve. Please call 215.862.9139 for reservations.
• The Golden Pheasant Inn (Erwinna) will be serving dinner beginning at 3 pm. They will also have a harpist coming to play holiday music on Sunday, December 23 and Sunday, December 30 from 12-3 pm for brunch ($22 per person). Contact them at 610.294.9595 or reserve a table online.
• Indian Rock Inn (Upper Black Eddy) A prix fixe 3-course dinner from 4 to 9 pm for $35 per person (children under 12, $15). Call 610.982.9600 for reservations and click here for the menu.
• Marsha Brown (New Hope) will be serving lunch in the lounge from 12 noon- 4pm and dinner in the dining room from 4 – 9 pm on Christmas Eve. The full dinner menu is available. Reservations: 215.862.7044.
• Martine’s River House (New Hope) will be serving dinner from 5 – 9 pm. You can reach them at 215.862.2966.
• naBrasa (Horsham) The Brazilian rodizio (steakhouse) will be open from 3 to 8 pm. Reservations are recommended. Call 215.956.0600.
• At Peddler’s Village (Lahaska), Earl’s Bucks County will be open for dinner until 7 pm with a regular menu; Buttonwood Grill will be open regular hours, until 10 pm, with a regular menu. See their website for menus and to make reservations.
• Pineville Tavern (Pineville) Contact them at 215.598.3890.
• Trattoria Rosa Bianca (Yardley) will be serving a Feast of the Seven Fishes for $35 per person in addition to their regular menu. Contact them at 267.392.5738.
• Via Ponte (Stockton, NJ) will have the Feast of the Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve. Contact them at 609.397.9397.
• The Vintage Grille (Fountainville) will be open all day on Christmas Eve, serving breakfast from 8 to 11 am, lunch from 11 am to 4 pm, and dinner from 4 to 8 pm (last reservation). Contact them at 215.348.4850.
• The Washington Crossing Inn (Washington Crossing) will be serving all day until 8 pm on Christmas Eve. You can reach them at 877.882.1776.
• The Washington House (Sellersville) will be serving a 3-course prix fixe Christmas Eve luncheon for $25, starting at 11:30 am. Contact them at 215.257.3000.
• The Yardley Inn Restaurant and Bar (Yardley) will be serving Christmas Eve luncheon from 10 am – 3 pm. For reservations, call: 215.493.3800.

Christmas Day

Ah, but where can you go on Christmas Day if you’ve got the family but not the cooking skills? So far, I’ve only found three places.

• The Pineville Tavern (Pineville) will be open on Christmas Day from noon to 7 pm serving a feast including mussels, clams, calamari, a standing rib roast with Yorkshire pudding, roast turkey breast, honey-baked ham and all the trimmings. Also on the menu…homemade cheese ravioli and jumbo lump “Bawlmer” crabcakes. For $35 per person, and $10 for kids under 12 years old. Call them at 215.598.3890 and see the full menu here.
• naBrasa (Horsham) the Brazilian steakhouse open will also be open on Christmas Day, for brunch ($21.95) from 9 am – 1 pm and for dinner ($42.95) from 3 – 8 pm. Contact them here.
• The Washington Crossing Inn (Washington Crossing) will be serving brunch on Christmas Day from 10 am – 5 pm. You can contact them at 877.882.1776.

New Year’s Eve

Eeeek! Yes, New Year’s Eve is right around the corner. But still plenty of time to make reservations for this fun night, and plenty of places in Bucks and nearby to celebrate. Here’s a few we found:

• The Black Bass Hotel will begin serving dinner at 5:30 pm until 10:30 pm, including a 4-course prix fixe menu for $95 per person. Special room packages are available too. They will also be serving a New Year’s Day Sunday Brunch, $39.50 per person, from 11 am – 3 pm. Contact them at 215.297.9260.
• The Brick Hotel (Newtown) Dinner will be served from 4:30 to 10 pm, and music from then on. Call them at 215.860.8613 to reserve.  They’ve also got options for staying over at the inn, or take-out from their special New Year’s Eve menu. The restaurant will also be offering brunch on New Year’s Day for $19.99 from 11:30 am to 3 pm.
• Brick Tavern (Quakertown) will be serving dinner from 3 to 10 pm, along with music starting at 7:30 pm. See the full menu here and call 529.6488 for reservations.
• The Buck Hotel (Feasterville) is offering a special dinner menu on both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. You can reach them at 215.396.2002 for reservations. See their website for menu details.

• Honey (Doylestown) is offering a delectable eight-course meal for $160 per couple. Call for reservations at 215.489.4200 and see the full menu at their website under “what’s new.”
• Hotel du Village (New Hope) will have a special seven course meal for the evening, seating begins at 6 pm. You can reach them at 215.862.9911.
• Marsha Brown (New Hope) will be serving lunch in the lounge from 12 noon- 4pm and dinner in the dining room from 4 pm – Midnight pm on New Year’s Eve. The full dinner menu is available. Reservations: 215.862.7044.
• Martine’s River House (New Hope) will be serving dinner from 5 – 10 pm. You can reach them at 215.862.2966.
• Indian Rock Inn (Upper Black Eddy) will be open for cocktails at noon and dining at 5 pm. Six-course meal for $150 per couple. Call 610.982.9600 for reservations and click here for the menu.
• naBrasa (Horsham) Enjoy smooth Brazilian Jazz with dinner, seatings at 5:30- 6 pm, 8 – 8:30 pm or 10 – 10:30 pm. Prices are $55 per person or $75 per person (includes open bar). Both include ringing in the New Year at the Iron Abbey next door with a dance party beginning at 10 pm and a champagne toast at midnight. Reservations are recommended. Call 215.956.0600.
• At Peddler’s Village (Lahaska), The Cock ‘n Bull Restaurant will be open for dinner until 10:30 pm. Hart’s Tavern will be open for food until 10 pm and bar until midnight. Earl’s Bucks County will be open for dinner until 10 pm and bar until midnight with regular menu plus some specials. The Buttonwood Grill will also be open for dinner until 10 pm and bar until midnight with regular menu plus some specials. See their website for menus and to make reservations.
• Via Ponte (Stockton, NJ) will be offering a special menu. Contact them at 609.397.9397.
• The Vintage Grille (Fountainville) will be open for New Year’s Eve, seating until 10 pm, AND serving breakfast New Year’s Day starting at 8 am! Contact them at 215.348.4850.
• The Washington House will be offering a specialty five course dinner with a complementary glass of champagne for $65. Reservations begin at 4:30 pm. Stay for Dr. K’s Motown Revue at Sellersville Theater.
• The Yardley Inn Restaurant and Bar (Yardley) will be serving an a la carte menu from 3 pm to midnight. For reservations, call: 215.493.3800.
