Don’t miss this

It’s contest time again! Only this time you’re going have to give if you want to get.

Right now Bucks County Taste’s Facebook page is hovering around 950 followers. Call me insecure, or a maybe a fan of whole numbers (what’s a number anyway?) but I’d love to see us shoot over 1000 friends and higher. Let’s show all those folks who think there’s nothing worth eating in Bucks County.

Here’s the deal. First, sign onto our Facebook page…(click here)

  • If you aren’t already a “friend” (or whatever they are calling it these days), click on the “LIKE” button at the top of the page and add a comment (see the question below)
  • If you are already a follower on our Facebook page, add a comment to this question:

What TOP FOOD EXPERIENCE would you recommend to someone new to or visiting Bucks County? This would be a ‘don’t miss this when you’re here’ kind of experience. It could be a restaurant, a bar scene, a farmers’ market, ice cream, wine, any food store – you name it. (for instance, the courtyard at Hamilton’s Grill on a summer evening, or sitting on a stool at Haring Brothers while your steak is being cut)

What’s the prize…besides the satisfaction of telling the world how food-savvy you are about Bucks County?

FIRST PRIZE: $50 to be spent at your favorite Bucks County restaurant/bar, farmers’ market or personal chef

SECOND PRIZE (Two winners): $25 to be spent at your favorite Bucks County restaurant/bar, farmers’ market or personal chef

Basically, you pick it, and Bucks County Taste will pick up the tab.

How will the winner be chosen, you ask? Between now and June 30th, we’ll keep track of all comments and “LIKES.” At the end of the contest, we’ll choose three winners using a Random Integer Generator. You can enter as often as you like. And, if you really don’t want to go to Facebook, I will accept comments on the website here also. BUT…if we don’t go over 1000, Mark and I go out to eat. 🙁

So put your comments and opinions up starting now. I can’t wait to hear what you come up with.

  1. By far, it’s Honey in Doylestown. They have such a creative style of cooking. Their ability to combine ingredients that you don’t think would ever taste good together actually make you want to dance in you chair. Their menu is always changing with the seasons but to this day my favorite is the Rock Shrimp Martini.

  2. The Black & Blue burger at Porterhouse is delicious! Steaks and the Bay Breezes aren’t bad either…you must go!

  3. A full meal all cooked table side by Chef Michael at Michael’s Resteraunt on old Lincoln Hwy in Morrisville. Ceaser salad, Steak Diane Marsalla followed by Bananas Flambe!!

  4. If you haven’t been to Arugula Ristorante on the border of Bucks & Montgomery Counties on County Line Road, then you haven’t experienced true Tuscan Trattoria. Arugula is not your typical Italian restaurant – their menu is unique and they serve fresh fish table side, plus you can dine al fresco on their patio. Check it out!

  5. Amato’s Pizza, great homemade Italian food, I’ve loved them since I was a little kid! Run by the same family since then as well. Trenton Rd in Fairless Hills/Levittown

  6. I was so glad Amato’s rebuilt after the fire devastated the whole building a few years ago:))

  7. I LOOO <3 OOOVE The "CRAB BLT" at Sweet Lorraine's Café and Bar in Peddler's Village!!! It's A crispy crab cake topped with Applewood smoked bacon, avocado, tomatoes, lettuce AND roasted red bell pepper!!! It is AhhhhMAZING!!! I want one NOW!!! 😛
