Rosemary Maple Bourbon Sour

Frenchtown Inn's Rosemary Bourbon SourCuddle up with a blanket, a good book, and this drink courtesy of the Frenchtown Inn. Or, if you would rather spend a night out, head to the inn and have them make it for you! It’s not your average “whiskey sour.” It’s a Rosemary Maple Bourbon Sour.

INGREDIENTS

2 ½ ounces of your favorite bourbon
½ lemon
½ ounce of maple syrup
1 spring rosemary
Splash of club soda

HOW TO

  1. Muddle 1 sprig of rosemary in bottom of large rocks glass with a splash of club soda.
  2. Top with ice and add 2 ½ ounces of bourbon.
  3. Squeeze in a ½ lemon and add a ½ ounce of maple syrup.
  4. Shake and garnish with a rosemary sprig. Enjoy!

Apple Cider Slushies

Apple Cider Donuts
The creator of this recipe, Delish, says the sugar donut atop this drink is optional. We think it’s definitely worth it, especially if you use apple cider donuts from Solebury Orchards. They have cider too, which is exactly what you need to whip this cool drink up.

INGREDIENTS

3 cups apple cider
1 lemon juiced
½ tsp. ground cinnamon

HOW TO

  1. Pour cider, lemon juice and cinnamon in a loaf pan, whisking to combine. Freeze for 45 minutes.
  2. Remove the cider mixture from the freezer and use a fork to scrape the slush-like mixture, so it doesn’t turn into a giant ice-cube. Once fully scraped and stirred, return it to the freezer for another 45 minutes.
  3. Remove the cider mixture from the freezer once again, using a fork to scrape and stir it into a slush-like consistency. The consistency should be like shaved ice. If it’s not frozen enough for your tastes, pop it back in the freezer for another 45 minutes. Otherwise, spoon into glasses and serve.
