Earls logoOn September 18th, Earl’s Bucks County in Peddler’s Village rolled out a new menu that is a fusion of Earl’s Bucks County and Earl’s Prime (their previous steakhouse incarnation) with the re-introduction of a “steak-friendly” menu. The new menu will still keep the local “touch,” with a focus on sourcing product from Bucks and nearby. Bill Murphy, formerly from Stephen Starr Restaurants, is the new executive chef. Bill is a Doylestown resident with 15 years of culinary experience in the Philadelphia region.

A fond farewell to the Vine & Fig Tree Bistro in Doylestown, closing this Sunday, October 20. Doylestown Patch reports that chef and owner Drew Abbate has been looking for another location but hasn’t found one yet. He plans on working at an area restaurant. We also send our kind thoughts and wishes to Abbate’s wife, Judy, who has been battling a rare form of cancer. Click here to donate to help with the Abbates’ costs.

crossing vineyards logoCrossing Vineyards and Winery in Washington Crossing is opening its 6th retail location, “The Village Wine Cellar” at Skippack Village in Skippack . The store is Crossing’s first venture into Montgomery County. It occupies a 1,200-foot space in a quaint, historic home with a wrap-around front porch and rear deck and includes a cozy wine bar offering wine by the bottle or glass. To celebrate the opening, they are hosting a black-tie optional affair on Friday, October 18. Crossing also has retail outlets in Phoenixville, Manayunk (Philadelphia), New Hope and Wilkes-Barre.
