The joys of dining outside

I think I need to do even more research on this topic.

Eat out(side)- Maybe activities aren’t your thing? Then just grab a bite and a nice refreshment, and watch the world go by at one of the many outdoor eateries in Bucks County. In New Hope there is The Landing, Havana, Lily’s on the Canal (Lambertville) & Martine’s (Martine’s is a personal fave, and they have stunning river views). Doylestown boasts The Freight House, Lily’s Cafe America, Cafe Allessio & the Vine and Fig Tree. In Newtown, you can visit LaStalla, Jules Thin Crust & Isaac Newton’s.

One of our favorite places to hang outside is the courtyard cohabitated by The Boathouse and Hamilton’s Grill Room in Lambertville. In New Hope, it’s always nice to sit at Karla’s with a chilled martini and watch the world go by. Then there’s the Stockton Inn’s porch. Or the deck at Bowman’s Tavern. I am so ready for warm weather. Can you tell?

What’s your favorite place in Bucks or nearby to enjoy libations and food sitting outside? Do let us know!

  1. The Stockton Inn is our favorite for a bourbon on the porch — perfect since we get to walk home. We also love to sit outside of La Maison du Cheese in Doylestown on weekend mornings. Their rollies perfect for lunch.

  2. One of my favs is the Inn of the Hawk in Lambertville…I know its not bucks county but it’s close enough for government work…try the potatoe chips…yummy
