To say this has been a difficult winter for all of us is an understatement. But it has been a real slam to many area businesses and restaurants. So if you’ve got cabin fever, go out and patronize your local eateries. Give ’em some love now so that they’ll be around in the spring.

Bell’s Tavern (Lambertville) has All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti Tuesday nights. Yum. Call them at 609.397.2224 or online at: bellstavern.com

Bowman’s Tavern (New Hope) has Prime Rib Night on Wednesdays for $24, one of Mark’s all time favorite places to be on a Wednesday evening. They are online at www.bowmanstavernrestaurant.com.

Brian’s (Lambertville) is open Tuesdays through Sundays for dinner. Every night they offer a 3-course prix fixe for $40 (Fridays & Saturdays $45), with 5—6 choices of 1st course (salad, soup or appetizer) and 2nd course entrees, finished with dessert. The Buck Hotel (Feasterville) has a Lobster Fest every Tuesday after 5pm  with a 1 lb. lobster for $14, a 1.5 lb. lobster for $19, and a 2.5 lb. lobster for $32. It comes with a choice of soup or salad, and is served with lemon and drawn butter. All sides are “a la carte.” For more information, see their website www.thebuckhotel.com.

Continental Tavern Monday nightsThe Continental Tavern (Yardley) offers Monday Burger madness. All burgers are $7.99. Monday night is also local craft beer night with many local craft beers 20% off from 7—9 pm. Every Tuesday, it’s Kids Eat for Free at the Tavern for children 10 years or younger with an adult-purchased entree. Learn more online at www.contav.com.

DeAnna’s (Lambertville) has a 3 course prix fixe or “locals” menu on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. $25 includes appetizer, entree and dessert. The menu options change weekly. Contact them at 609.397.8957 or online at deannasrestaurant.com.

The Golden Pheasant Inn (Erwinna) offers a “Love Your Local” dinner special from Wednesday through Friday all year long. The special changes monthly, but always reflects their philosophy of fresh, seasonal and local. During February they are featuring a Wester Ross Scottish Salmon burger with a yuzu mayo sauce, napa and red cabbage slaw, with house-made potato chips, all including a choice of a pint of Sly Fox Winter Ale or a glass of Firesteed 2012 Pinot Gris for $19. Hearth (New Hope) has a Chef’s Choice prix fixe on Monday nights. Prices range depending on your choice of seafood or vegetarian entree. See their Facebook page for the weekly menu.

Karla’s (New Hope) has been offering a Monday night Locals Night menu for years, 3 courses ranging from $12 to $19. Keep up to date with them on their Facebook page or call them at 215.862.2612

At Lambertville Station (Lambertville) offers a Sunset Menu Monday through Friday excluding holidays from 4 pm to close. (Spring/summer Monday-Thursday 4-6:30 pm). The 3 course prix fixe menu includes a choice of soup or salad, entree, dessert, and coffee or tea. Entrees include Chesapeake Bay Crab Cakes, Jambalaya, Mom’s Meatloaf, Seafood Crepe and many more (available in dining room only). Lovin’ Oven (Frenchtown, NJ) offers a comfort food night on Wednesday evenings, from 5 – 9 pm. Three courses for $23, and a $5 kids menu. The restaurant also hosts Italian Night, which is three courses for adults, kids 12 and under eat free bottomless bowls of pasta. Served from 5 – 9 pm.

The Lumberville General Store (Lumberville) hosts a Supper Club every Friday and Saturday night with seatings at 6 pm, 6:30 pm, 8 pm and 8:30 pm. Three courses for $19.95. Menu details are listed on their website at www.thelumbervillegeneralstore.com.

Raven supper clubThe Raven (New Hope) holds a Supper Club every Wednesday night, a great 3 course dinner (menus change each week) for $21.95, cabaret entertainment by Dwayne Dunlevy, and bar and wine specials. See their website for more info.

Tortuga’s Cocina (Lambertville) offers “Taco Tuesdays” through May. HunterdonBucks.com is running the deal. Takeout only. 12 tacos with all the fixings, pico de gallo, guacamole and chips for $39. Enough to feed a family of 6! Location and hours at their website.

At the Washington House (Sellersville) Monday through Thursday evenings you’ll find specials in the bar, like Martini Monday, Two-for-One Appetizers on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and more. Yardley Inn (Yardley) Every Monday at the Inn, bottles of wine are half price, and you can get a Surf and Turf special for $29, including a 5 oz. lobster tail with a 5 oz. center cut filet mignon. For more details, see their website at www.yardleyinn.com.

  1. Good list of local restaurants…. but I want to mention another we went to last weekend, and had a fantastic meal. D’Floret, on Ferry St., across from the library. A little hard to notice, which is why it took us over a year to try it. But the food was great. http://dfloretrestaurant.com/
