2016 – Going out for New Year’s Eve

Hard to believe 2017 is right around the corner. I think it’s safe to say that we all could use a bit of a recharge, and I’m ready to welcome in the New Year with good food and good friends (but mostly good food).

Bucks County restaurants and cafes are keeping their doors open, ready to ring in the year with you. Check out what creative menus are being offered this year, and here’s to another healthy, happy New Year!

Bella Tori at the Mansion (Langhorne) is celebrating the new with a three-course dinner service in its romantic mansion. They are taking reservations for 4 – 9 pm. Check the menu out here and reserve your spot by calling 215.702.9600.

The Brick Hotel (Newtown) is serving a special New Year’s Eve menu for dinner, from 5 -10 pm. Dinner music is constant from 5:30 to midnight. Call them at 215.860.8613 to reserve and see here for more details.

Brick Tavern (Quakertown) will be serving dinner from their regular menu from 11 am to 4 pm. The New Year’s Eve menu begins at 4 pm until 10 pm. Enjoy entrees like slow smoked prime rib of beef au jus, and broiled shrimp and scallops. See the full menu here and call 215.529.6488 for reservations.

The Buck Hotel (Feasterville) will be serving a New Year’s Eve dinner from 5 – 10 pm. After dinner, party hard in the Tavern with DJ Maria starting at 8 pm. You can reach the hotel at 215.396.2002 to make your reservations. See their website for details.

Caleb’s American Kitchen (Lahaska) will be serving a four-course prix fixe dinner for $67 per person (see the menu here). Reservations are from 4:30 pm. BYOB (bring some bubbly!). Contact them at 215.794.8588.

Empanada Mama (Doylestown) is open on New Year’s Eve from 11 am – 4 pm. Place your empanada orders ASAP. Call 215.230.3330 for more information and what empanadas are available this season.

Fisher’s Tudor House (Bensalem) will be having a New Year’s Eve 2016 Murder Under the Mistletoe dinner from 7:30 – 10 pm. The cost is $62.50 and the doors open at 7 pm. The full menu can be found here. For reservations, call 215.244.9777.

Frenchtown Inn (Frenchtown, NJ) will be open on New Year’s Eve on December 31 and Sunday, January 1 for lunch from 12 – 4 pm. You can reach them at 908.996.3300.

Genevieve’s Kitchen (Doylestown) is hosting a New Year’s Eve dinner for $65 per person plus tax and gratuity. It will feature a four-course dinner inspired by the chef, and it begins at 5 pm. Reservations are recommended so call 267.614.9635 to save your spot.

The Golden Pheasant Inn (Erwinna) will be serving a special four-course prix fixe menu for New Year’s Eve or a la carte from their menu, both featuring the best, local seasonal offerings. Sample Kusshi oysters, table sharing plates like charcuterie and artisanal cheese, and try out entrées like Lancaster County veal chop or fish dishes like halibut and salmon. Karlton Cafe (Quakertown) is having a New Year’s Day brunch from 8 am – 4 pm.

King George II Inn (Bristol) is serving lunch from 11:30 am -4 pm, and dinner from 4 pm – 11 pm. Call 215.788.5536 for reservations. Find the full menu here.

naBrasa (Horsham) Enjoy smooth Brazilian Jazz with dinner, seatings at 5:30 pm, 6 pm, 8 pm, 8:30 pm, and 10:30 pm. Prices are $55 per person (just the meal) or $75 per person (includes open bar). The meal includes a full Rodizio dinner with 15 cuts of meat and fish. Complimentary toast at midnight with champagne. Reservations are recommended. Call 215.956.0600. Right next door is the Iron Abbey, and you’re welcome to swing by at 10 pm for DJ festivities.

La Stalla (Newtown) is offering a special menu for New Year’s Eve. Enjoy dishes like lobster ravioli or short rib Osso Buco.  Call 215.579.8301 to make reservations and to get more information.

McCoole’s Red Lion Inn (Quakertown) will be ringing in the New Year from 8 pm – 12:30 am. Enjoy a four-course meal, cash bar, a champagne toast at midnight, and live entertainment by In Transit to dance the night away to classic rock of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. The meal and event are $60 per person. Mojito Cuba Caribe (New Hope) is ready to ring in the New Year with its regular menu, and a prix fixe dinner menu available on New Year’s Eve. Dinner is served between 5 – 10 pm, with live music starting at 9 pm. Enjoy complimentary champagne at midnight and make your reservations by calling 267.740.2900.

Peace Valley Winery (Chalfont) is having a close-out sale for its remaining Summer Solstice and Stardust wine so you can have a fun New Year’s party. These wines are 10% off before the New Year, and the winery will be open Monday through Friday from 12 – 6 pm and New Year’s Eve from 10 am – 4 pm.

The Raven (New Hope) is holding their New Year’s Eve dinner and dance party for $95 per person (plus tax and gratuity). The night includes a four-course chef’s dinner plus the chance to listen to Russel Eiffert on piano from 9 pm – 1 am, live in the Oak Room. The DJ dance party is from 10 pm – 2 am, with a champagne toast at midnight. A continental breakfast will be served at 1 am. Also at The Raven is a New Year’s Day brunch served from 11 am – 3 pm.

Rising Sun Inn (Telford) The Inn, which is well-known for its local bison dishes, starts serving a special a la carte menu at 4 pm. The musical guest is “The Big Shots.” Reservations are recommended. Call them at 215.721.6350.

Spinnerstown Hotel Restaurant (Quakertown) is hosting a New Year’s Eve party with the Electric Trio of Craig, Wade, and Don, who will be performing in the Tap Room. The party includes a complimentary champagne toast and a special menu prepared by Chef Ricky. Reservations are required for seating in the taproom, but standing room and the bar is available on a first come, first serve basis. Call to reserve at 215.536.7242. Party starts at 4 pm.

The Washington Crossing Inn (Washington Crossing) will be serving dinner on New Year’s Eve at 8:30 pm. They’ll have live music from 9 pm to 1 am. You can reach them at 877.882.1776.

The Washington House (Sellersville) will be offering a special  dinner with a complimentary glass of champagne for $65 per person. Seatings are from 4:30 pm to 10:30 pm. Reservations at 215-257-3000 or with Open Table.

On the other side of the river…

Hamilton’s Grill Room (Lambertville) is offering a special prix fixe meal with two seatings on Saturday, December 31. The early seating is 5 pm and costs $70 per person plus tax and gratuity. The celebration seating is at 7:30 pm and costs $90 per person. The restaurant will also serve a New Year’s Day brunch on Sunday, January 1 from 1 – 5 pm with a DIY bar and yummy dishes. Salt Creek Grille (Princeton, NJ) is serving up a multi-course prix fixe menu in their dining room, complete with a full open bar for $165 per person all inclusive. Guests can visit the Salt Creek Grille’s dining room for a holiday inspired menu served until 11 pm. The bar and lounge will feature live music by the band Evening Cruz for a $25 color charge.

Sergeantsville Inn (Sergeantsville, NJ) is having a New Year’s Eve dinner for $85 per person. Reservations are required, and price does not include dessert, bar tab, tax or gratuity. See here for more information.

The Stockton Inn (Stockton, NJ) will be open New Year’s Eve, serving a special 5-course dinner from 5 – 10 pm. The meal is $75 per person or $100 per person with wine pairings. See the full menu here. Contact them at 609.397.1250.
