Tidbit: The Lucky Cupcake goes to war

Joanne Jarin, owner and baker supreme of The Lucky Cupcake Co. in Plumsteadville will be baking the good fight on the Food Network’s Cupcake Wars program in an episode to be aired on February 22 at 9 pm. Here’s an excerpt from Crissa Shoemaker DeBree’s article in the Intelligencer:

“Cupcake Wars” challenges four chefs to bake the best-tasting and best-looking cupcakes. The winning chef gets $10,000 and the opportunity to showcase his or her cupcakes at a star-studded event. Jarin and her fellow contestants were challenged to bake cupcakes for a party celebrating the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

A Food Network spokeswoman said Jarin’s episode – titled “Walk of Fame” – will air at 9 p.m. Feb. 22. Jarin has teamed with the owner of the Mesquito Grill in Doylestown for a tasting and viewing party that night; her cupcakes will be free.

Sounds like a fun night! Best of luck, Joanne!

  1. I love your Cup Cake store in Peddlers Village. The cup cakes are to die for. But I wish you would have boxes that have those little circle inserts in them to place the cup cakes in so they don’t move about. I had to travel a bit to get them home and they hit the sides of the box and were a bit smashed. Many cup cake stores have these special boxes in 3, 6 and 12 boxes with the little round circle openings in them to place the cup cakes in there. Hope you get those boxes soon.
