The Precarious Alliance

America has been called a beautiful land with natural resources, colonization, and industrialization fueled by the idea that land can fulfill our “American Dream.” But as we move toward the future, is the American dream still sustainable? At Delaware Valley University this week, their annual sustainability symposium kicks-off with a food truck and music filled night, ready to tackle this question and more.

On Wednesday, October 14, the Precarious Alliance at Delaware Valley University starts its three-day symposium with a festive, outdoor event outside of the Life Sciences Building from 4-7 pm. The event is free and open to the public. The parking lot, amphitheater, walking paths and quad outside of the LSB will transform into a celebration for this year’s theme, “Land and the American Dream.”

There will be live music by Mike Pfeiffer, John Beacher and Audra McLaughlin, who was one of the top six singers on Season 6 of NBC’s “The Voice.” If you love food trucks, there will plenty at the kickoff event, including Greek Street, Sum Pig, Sweet Box, and Bonjour Creperie.
