Bucks Food Calendar: May 21, 2014

Memorial DayYes, it’s Memorial Day already. Winter was so long and spring seems to be zipping along. The food calendar is a little quieter this weekend due to the holiday but there is so much coming up in the next few weeks.

Pancakes and picnics. On Sunday, head to the Rising Sun Inn in Franconia for their first picnic of the season. Enjoy food and drink specials, and watch or participate in the Quoits (horseshoes) Tournament at 2:00 pm—there will be prizes. For more information, see their website.

Stack of Pancakes with Syrup; MSClipArtOn Memorial Day, come to Doylestown for their Memorial Day Parade, which begins at 10 am at CB West High School. The parade marches east on West Court Street, east on West State Street and north on North Main Street to the Doylestown Cemetery.

But before going to the parade, stop by the Salem United Church for their annual Pancake Breakfast from 7:30 am to 10 am. Still hungry after the parade? Check out the pancakes at the Doylestown Masonic Lodge. Their pancake breakfast begins at 7 am and ends at noon. For more details, see our full calendar.
