All about organics. What exactly does “organic” mean? Is organic food better, and if so, why? Two events on Thursday, March 20 answer these questions. At McCaffrey’s Supermarket in Lower Makefield, Erik King, Director of Natural and Organics at Haddon House Foods, will cover all aspects of organic. Want to learn even more? Come to the County Theater Thursday evening for a film showing of In Organic We Trust, sponsored by the Doylestown Food Co-op and the Bucks County Foodshed Alliance as part of the 2014 Farm Fresh Film series. For details, see the co-op’s website.

Community events. Join the River Horse Brewery this Sunday, March 23 as they host a fundraiser benefiting victims of the recent gas explosion and fire in Ewing Township, NJ. Tickets are only $20 per person which gets you a free beer. Proceeds will go to the Disaster Relief Fund. Click here for more details and to buy tickets.
