Bucks County had a nice weekend, and looking at the forecast ahead, it should continue, just in time for the Fourth of July weekend, which means picnics, BBQs, outdoor events, and of course, fireworks. Start planning your weekend, and get through the week with a few of these recurring foodie events.
Happitizers. Half price apps makes everyone happy, which is why the Pineville Tavern has a “happitizer” menu offered to all guests at both bars or on the patio between 5 – 7 pm, Mondays through Fridays. In addition to their half price alcohol and appetizers, the restaurant is offering the most popular menu items made-to-order for their guests. This Monday, try out their ravioli & gravy, or if you are in the mood for some wings, stop by on Tuesday for some of their fried chicken wings. And if you really love appetizers and happy hours, stop by the tavern any other day of the week.
Themed Thursdays. Every Thursday, the Frenchtown Inn features different cuisines from around the world with drink specials for $5. Each Thursday, the inn will post what is featured that day, so don’t forget to check your email, their Facebook, or give them a call. One week they had cuisine with Latin flair (braised beef nachos, fish tacos), and last week was Greek night, with dishes like hummus, moussaka, and grilled swordfish over arugula. *This isn’t technically in Bucks County, but if you are an adventurous foodie who loves to be surprised, this is a night for you!
Food Trucks. This Thursday evening is perfect for food truck fanatics. Head over to the Peddler’s Village and sample a variety of flavors and cuisines from food trucks from all over. The food trucks will be there from 4 – 8 pm and there is free admission and parking, which means more money to spend on food! Here’s the lineup:
Chicken ‘n Cone
Maddalena’s Cheesecake and Catering
Meat Wagon BBQ
Nina’s Waffles and Ice Cream
The Lunch Box
Tower Dogs Food Truck
Surf and Turf
