Tastes of Spring, Hamilton's Grill Room

Restaurants and bars are officially opening their outdoor drinking and dining areas, so this should be a sign that the nice weather is here to stay. Check out local happy hour specials, new tasting menus for spring, and another mini beer fest this week in Bucks County.


Fruit, Organnon's Natural Market

Organic delights. Organnon’s Natural Market in Wrightstown, PA has added 12 more feet for delicious organic produce. Their newly added section is filled with produce like Ataulfo mangoes, yellow peaches, and watermelon. Sounds like summer is just around the corner! The market also added an entire fridge filled with almost every flavor of kombucha, the fermented probiotic drink. Visit their website for hours and a full listing of April sales.

Tastes of Spring, Hamilton's Grill Room Tastes of Spring. Hamilton’s Grill Room has added a new four-course prix fixe spring menu featuring additions new additions of smaller plates. It’s available for dinner Sunday through Thursday at dinner, and from 5 – 6:30 pm on Fridays. The new Tastes of Spring menu is $35 per person, tax and gratuity additional. Also at Hamilton’s this Wednesday, April 27 is Wednesdays for Women at 6:30 pm. This week, join other local business women as they take a look into the James A. Michener Art Museum and learn about a century of fashion. Learn more about the networking event and what’s on the dinner menu here. This event is $40 per person, including tax and gratuity, and it is BYOB.

Hopfest 2016 Hopfest. Things are about to get a little hoppy this week at M.O.Ms (Maxwell’s on Main) in Doylestown this Thursday, April 27. Get your first taste of spring with six exclusive hoppy beers, bluegrass jams, t-shirts, food specials, and more. Get your pre-sale tickets for $30 here. Pre-sale tickets include a t-shirt, free drink ticket, plus an exclusive dish from Chef Bobby. There is no cover to this event. The beer lineup includes:

Lobster, Karlton Cafe
Lobster specials. 
Every April, the Karlton Cafe in Quakertown brings its customers a lobster fest, featuring monthly specials that are only available until the end of the month. Try out lobster Newberg linguini with wild ramps and spinach topped with Gruyere cheese or a lobster quinoa cake sandwich. There are even lobster breakfast items if you want your crustacean in the morning. Call 215.538.8353 to make reservations or to see what is on the menu this week.

Dine and drink outside. 
La Stalla in Newtown has opened up its outside bar for the first time this season. Head over after work for dinner and drinks, and don’t forget to check out their new Happy Hour bar menu. Their Happy Hour is from 4:30 – 6:30 pm and also includes $2 off all drinks!

On the radar:  Reminder: The deadline for entry into the Meatball Festa Contest at Peddler’s Village is today, Monday April 25th. There is one entry per person and a $30.00 entry fee that will be donated to the Bucks County Housing Group Pantry at Doylestown. Pick up an entry form in the store or call to enter. Checks can be made out to Casa Casale.
