If you wear your best patriotic outfit, you have the chance to win prizes and enter a parade around the market (for the kids).

This week at area farmers markets you’ll find the following new, locally grown produce:

raspberries, sweet cherries and maybe early blueberries! Also available now are summer squash, cucumbers, beets, turnips, cabbage, radishes and lots of greens.

FireworksSay happy birthday to America with an evening of light, classical, popular, and patriotic music and a grand fireworks finale under the stars along the banks of the beautiful Delaware River. This is a major picnic opportunity. People get to the park early and lay out some pretty impressive spreads. A friend of mine once referred to it as “competitive picnicing.” Not to worry.
