Don’t start stressing out about the holiday just yet. Although everyone is gearing up for Thanksgiving and family time, there are still a few things to check out this weekend in Bucks County. A relaxing weekend might even help you prepare for a relaxed holiday.
1. Big Q BBQ Smoked Buffalo Burger Giveaway
Fri, Nov. 20, noon – 2 pm, Big Q BBQ, 1140 Bristol-Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA.
Hey Eagles fans! Big Q BBQ owner Drew Abruzzese has been a bird fan for life. This season being what it is (4-5, ouch), he wants to do something to try to change the team’s luck. So Abruzzese is giving away his new smoked buffalo burgers for free this Friday from noon to 2 pm at his Levittown restaurant, Big Q BBQ.
“We’ve been planning to introduce a burger since we opened last July,” says Abruzzese. “After this Sunday’s loss to the Miami Dolphins, we decided it’s time to do something to change the karma of our beloved birds. We’re excited to introduce our new smoked buffalo burger for free the Friday before the Eagles head down the stretch into the final weeks of the season. We couldn’t smoke a Buccaneer, Lion, Patriot, Cardinal, Redskin or Giant, so we picked on Buffalo, who we’ll play in about a month. If this offer changes the team’s momentum, we will give away something every Friday from noon to 2 pm until the team loses.” Another reason to cheer on the Eagles.
Big Q BBQ opened on July 27, 2015. The quick-serve drive-thru specializes in midwest barbecue, featuring breakfast sandwiches and doughnuts from 7 to 10:30 am, and smoked pork, chicken, ribs, brisket, fried chicken and savory side dishes until 9 pm seven days a week.
