The winter farmers’ market report

Look in the coming weeks for several farmers’ markets (yes, in January) in Wrightstown, New Hope, Ottsville and Stockton.

This Saturday, January 8th, the Ottsville Indoor Farmers’ Market debuts. It’s going on in the greenhouse at Linden Hill Gardens, so don’t worry about freezing your butt off. There will be goods from local farmers and artisans, as well as fun family activities like ice skating and s’mores this Saturday. This winter market will happen every Saturday from 9 – 11 am through January and February. See here for a list of a dozen or more vendors who will be participating. Linden Hill Gardens is at 8230 Easton Road (Route 611) in Ottsville, PA. Contact: info@lindenhillgardens.com for questions or if you are interested in being a vendor.

The Wrightstown Farmers’ Market holds a winter “mini-market” on the 2nd Saturday of the month through April (regular weekly market starts at the beginning of May) – that would be this Saturday, January 8th. See a list of participating vendors on the Bucks County Foodshed Alliance website and pre-order if you can. The market takes place at it’s usual location from 10 – 11 am. See the website for more details.

The New Hope Farmers’ Market also holds a winter “mini-market” through the winter on the 3rd Thursday of each month, on January 20th this month. They will be in a NEW LOCATION at the New Hope Flea Market, on Rt. 202, right next to the Eagle Diner (6520 Lower York Rd), from 3:o0 – 5 pm. You can find out more information also at the Bucks County Foodshed Alliance website.

And, of course, there is always the Stockton Farmers’ Market. Toasty warm, full of interesting foods and goods. Learn more about the vendors here and upcoming events on their Facebook page.
