For the first time, the award-winning documentary Food, Inc. will be broadcast on “free” TV. Check your local PBS schedules for times on Wednesday, April 21st.
Robert Kenner’s provocative Food, Inc. examines the US food industry and how its practices impact consumer health, worker safety and the environment. The documentary features footage of meat-packing operations, for one. For those of you who have missed it in theatres, here’s another opportunity.
Right now it looks like it will be broadcast on WLVT and WNET-DT at 9 pm, and at 10 pm on WHYY. On April 23 it’s showing on Y Info at 8 am, 2 pm, and 7 pm on Comcast Channel 258.
Thanks to Robin Hoy of the Bucks County Foodshed Alliance for the reminder and information.
